|Foreign Labor Certification
Some U.S. employers who wish to hire foreign workers, either temporarily or permanently, will need to go through the labor certification process with the Department of Labor (DOL). The labor certification process verifies that there are no qualified and willing U.S. workers available to fill the position being offered by the U.S. employer at the prevailing wage. The process must also demonstrate that hiring a foreign worker will not adversely affect the wages and working conditions of similarly employed U.S. workers.
